Further Training

In March 2011, Briony Davis travelled to Dortmund in Germany for a course at the Federal Academy of Orthopaedic Technology for further training relating to the Rigo System of Cheneau bracing. The course was given by Manuel Rigo, and involved theoretical and practical teaching which helped to expand Briony's knowledge of this rapidly changing field.

Cheneau bracing

In August 2010 Briony Davis travelled to Barcelona for two days to visit the Idiopathic Scoliosis clinic of Dr. Manuel Rigo. Dr. Rigo is one of the world's foremost experts and proponents of the Cheneau concept of idiopathic scoliosis management. Briony found the trip to be very educational and informative.

Upper limb prosthetics

In September 2010 Donna Fisher and Rene Niclas travelled to Vienna for a week long post graduate training course in Upper Limb Prosthetics. This course was facilitated by the Otto Bock Academy – Vienna is the Upper Limb Prosthetics R&D Centre for the world and the training provided is gold standard.
