IDS has been providing high quality silicone prostheses for several years now. These are manufactured by our partners from Otto Bock in Duderstadt, Germany. As part of our Continuous Professional Development Programme, a development, education and training event was organised during the week beginning 25th of October. A team of three specialists came to IDS from Duderstadt led by Antje Niescken, (International PM Business Service and Patient Care Product Manager), Andreas Leiniger (Team Leader Service Fabrication Silicone) and Mario Kaiser (Service Fabrication, Silicone.) Three of the most senior IDS prosthetists who are already experienced in silicone prosthetics attended. All aspects of the silicone prosthetic service were addressed during the week from initial assessment to final checkout and delivery. All participants found the event to be very beneficial and expect the service provided by IDS to be enhanced as a result. Images from the event will follow shortly.
