IDS ::: Prosthetic Cosmetic Covers
Cosmetic covers for prostheses
- Exoskeletal prostheses generally use ‘flesh’ coloured pigmented laminates but virtually any colour of pigment or coloured fabric can be incorporated.
- Endoskeletal prostheses generally feature soft foam covers machined to match the contralateral limb.
- ‘Flesh’ coloured stockings or various grades of high definition silicone can be used as an outer layer on endoskeletal prostheses.
