| A demonstration transtibial cast showing areas for reduction and rectification (marked in red) and addition rectification (marked in blue). Areas of pressure tolerance are for reduction, while areas of sensitivity are for addition. This will tighten or loosen the socket appropriately. |

| Filling a hollow cast with liquid Plaster of Paris to create a solid cast. |
Digital Rectification of a cast. During this process data which has been captured digitally is modified using a computer program to make changes to the virtual cast. |
